Meshika was always a “science kid.” She initially wanted to be a neurosurgeon but quickly learned that she could not handle blood, and Physics was a more interesting science to her than Biology. She has always been curious about how things work and wanted to understand the foundation of why they function the way they do. She started her career doing Facility Assessments at a large design firm, but her curiosity gave her the itch to venture into design, and she couldn’t stay away. After four years, she “started over” and took a design role, which remains one of the best decisions she has ever made. She has learned a lot, has so much more to learn, and can’t wait to keep learning.
Meshika joined K2M because of the diversity of projects. As someone still relatively new to design, she wanted an opportunity that would not pigeonhole her into one thing and would keep her curious and engaged. She loves K2M’s focus on people because she believes people are the finest resource, and if they are taken care of, they will take care of the organization in return.
