After stepping into the Hagia Sophia as a child, Ismail wondered how something like this could still be standing after 14 centuries while 5-10 year old buildings could collapse during earthquakes. That is when he was introduced to architecture. He attended Drury University and received his Masters in Architecture. Ismail is interested in the preservation of historic buildings as well as green architecture. This passion led him to become a LEED Green Associate and a member of the Historic Preservation Commission for the City of Concord. Ismail enjoys being able to collaborate and learn from people with different backgrounds within the K2M family.
