As a Florida Keys native, for Rae, her career interests started after a hurricane hit the Keys. Rae realized she needed an education in engineering in order to create structures that can withstand the kind of natural disasters that South Florida is prone to. She also believe that in the near future we will create a way to captivate the natural tidal/current energy surrounding the keys to produce consistently dependable energy and she would love to be able to incorporate that into building designs.
Rae is excited to be working with K2M’s multi-disciplinary team that covers architecture, engineering and interior design. “I am excited to see a project through from start to finish including surveying, drafting, construction, and creating long term relationships with the community.” Additionally, Rae is drawn to sustainability and driven to help create a more environmental conscientious environment in the Florida Keys for future generations to live.
